Monthly Market

06 February  09:30 - 16:00

The Maltings’ Monthly Market is one of the oldest and largest quality markets in Surrey and Hampshire.

For over 40 years the market has drawn stall holders from all over the UK, selling a huge variety of products from antiques and collectables, craft, clothing, and jewellery to welsh cheeses, specialist fishing equipment, and rare stones and fossils.

For 2010 Farnham Maltings will be launching a series of ‘special guest’ exhibitors at the market.
On February 6th St Mary’s Bakery will be the first of these ‘special guests’.

A small home bakery in Frensham, recently featured on the BBC Radio 4 Food Programme, St Mary’s Bakery has been set up by Richard Dean and Fiona Scimone as a result of their love of, and frustration with the lack of availability of, locally made good bread. Both have long been keen advocates of real bread and decided to start baking in their small kitchen at home for others in the village and see what the response was: “It was great! Our local community have been fabulously supportive and encouraging.”

They now make simple, nutritious flavoursome artisan breads and deliver them directly to customers. They use organic ingredients and absolutely no flour improvers or any hidden additives.

For further information about the bakery please contact Richard Dean or Fiona Scimone on 01252 792810 or e-mail stmarysbakery@ymail.com

With around 200 stalls to browse and the Riverside Café to provide refreshments, the Maltings Market is an excellent way to spend a Saturday!
